Do you sit back and wonder how the best poker players made it to where they are today? If so, you are like millions of others. Joining the upper tier of poker players may sound like a difficult task, and you are right. This is not something that comes overnight for most people. Sure, there are those who got very lucky and became a poker sensation in no time at all. Unfortunately, you cannot count on this happening to you.
To break into the upper tier of poker players you need to work hard, and then hope that you have a little bit of luck at your back as well. When you combine the two you will then find yourself getting close to making the progress you have been dreaming of.
What does it mean to break into the upper tier? This depends on what you are trying to accomplish. For instance, some players see success as nothing more than how much they are winning. There is nothing wrong with this because most people play for the money that is available. But don’t forget about other successes such as winning more often, being able to play at higher limit tables, and placing higher in tournaments. Progress is important. If you continue to move forward there is no stopping you. You will eventually get what you want.
