Winning at Poker as a New Player

by: Chris Bibey

New poker players, as well as those who have experience, have one thing on their mind: winning. If you feel this way, and you should at all times, you want to realize that your success has nothing to do with your experience. In other words, there are new players who have won big time tournaments as well as experienced players who have come out on top. While you have a better chance of winning once you have a good level of experience under your belt, this does not mean that you have to concede your money as a newbie.

If you want to win at a poker as a new player you need to take the time to develop a method for doing so. Your strategy should be based largely on what you know, as well as what you can do to beat the competition. As you continue to learn you should be able to tweak your poker strategy to better your chances of winning.

New players have every right to playing the game as those who are more experienced. There is no reason to shy away from the competition because they have been around the game longer than you. Don’t buy into the fact that experienced players have a better chance of winning, and that you have to bow down to them. You can bet your money in the same way, and if you are good at what you are doing, winning should never be a problem.

As a new player you should always be striving to be the best of the best. If you strive for this goal you will reach it soon enough. At that point you will begin to realize just how much money you can win!
